I *highly* recommend the electronic versions of the Amazon gift cards as well as the ones you can print on your own. I have never had a problem with either of these methods, nor have any of my card recipients.Although it is theoretically better etiquette to give a physical card, I've found that because Amazon is an online vendor and the cardholder is going to visit the web to use the card number, recipients enjoy the convenience of having the card information delivered to their inboxes--especially when it's on the day of a special event. Can anything beat World of Warcraft in the next 5 years
I remember 2 years ago when there was all this hype over the MMO battle between Everquest 2 and World of Warcraft. Everquest had the experience, but the creators of Warcraft had only produced award winning games. Not a loser in the bunch.Then the fateful day came, and it wasn't even close. Most people went straight to Warcraft, and those who bought Everquest defected.At the time of this writing there are 9 million people who are playing online Warcraft. I quit 2 times, but came back because it appears that no company is in a position to overtake them.If you like online fantasy games, World of Warcraft is top of the line, very addictive. Not recommended if you already have a solid marriage and children. This game takes up a lot of free time.

The price as the time writing this review is $23 for 2 months, that gives you about $11.50 per month. The cheapest you can get from WoW official website is $12.99/month, only IF you pre-paid for 6 months.So pre-paid for 2 months at $11.50/month vs pre-paid 6 months at $12.99/month, you do the math.I had to say I was a little bit turn off by what Blizzard did to me few minutes ago, I posted on their forums the link to this Amazon deal, it was deleted in 3 minutes. I know they're trying to protect their monthly fee, but it's kind of childish and immature, IMO. Just let you guys know here, you're the judge.

Prepaid Is Better
To start off, I'd like to say that X-Box Live is amazing and worth every penny. Online gaming is incredibly fun and quite a good way to pass time.That aside, there are downsides to X-Box Live that can be avoided through prepaid cards. Number one, you always run the risk that unwarranted transactions will be made if your credit card information is stored on your X-Box 360 system. It may not happen all that often, but it's best to avoid it all together.The biggest reason to buy prepaid Xbox Live card is the renewal process that happens when you don't use one. If you order X-Box Live through your system, it'll renew every time your subscription runs out. This wouldn't be a problem except that it's not that easy to cancel. Instead of canceling through your system, you have to go through the hassle of actually calling X-Box Live support. Even then, depending on the representative you get, you may be hassled to keep your subscription because they really don't want...

Two reasons to get this card
There are only two reasons to get this Xbox Live subscription card. First, as a gift for someone who already has Xbox Live and wants to renew his subscription. Second, the normal yearly fee is $50, so if you can get this card cheaper than that, you'll save money.This card is not a good way to get Xbox Live if you don't already have it. For that purpose, buy the starter kit (ASIN B000209V8K), which includes a free game, a headset, and a year subscription. Without the headset, Xbox Live is pretty boring.

It is what it is
As an avid MMO player, game time cards are an excellent gift for the holidays. I usually ask for five or six of 'em and wind up playing most of the year for free. Please note that I also recommend you do NOT pay anything above $30 per card, as that his how much two months worth of game time costs.Also, if you are looking for an EXCELLENT game for the PC gamer in your life, I HIGHLY recommend Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Let's set the record straight for everyone
The Old Republic is an MMO. MMOs require that you pay in some way whether it be by monthly subscription of from buying gear/inventory space/quest lines/etc but regardless of how you pay you will pay if you want the real, true and fun experience the game offers. MMOs require a tremendous amount of time, personnel and equipment to run on a monthly basis and that means it's costing the company extra money over and above development and the price you pay to buy the game. This is why MMOs charge and if you are bothered by that you shouldn't buy or attempt to play an MMO. These cards are designed for people who don't have credit cards (kids) or loved ones of game players who would like to give them subscription time as a gift therefore there is nothing stupid about selling game play cards at no discount. It's not meant as a way to make things cheaper. It's just another way people can pay to play this fantastic game.

Standard price. Nothing more.
I picked this up because I had a Amazon giftcard and I figured this would save me a few months of fee's since I'm already playing the game.It is what it is, as mentioned in another review. It's your standard price for a standard giftcard. It's PRIME eligible so no shipping if you have a Prime account.As for people complaining about "just needing the code" and shipping. It's a retail boxed product. They can't open your boxed product, scratch off the code on the card, and then email it to you. That'd create too many liabilities. They offer a card. They send a card. It's an MMO.It's not a great deal, as it's normal priced, but it's not mis-represented either.

" I told this to 6 customer service members, being I had my personalized card for 2 years, which meant that my information was already verified, and they told me they couldn't refund the amount on the card. I told them that according to their TOS and cardholder agreement which says "Once your information is verified, you will receive your personalized card in the mail, If we are unable to verify your information, then you will receive a check for the... Thinking i would be sly and outsmart the conventional credit card I picked up a Prepaid Visa. So I called them up and they told me that some system was hacked and that all cards have a hold on them until they verify information. Then out of nowhere, after getting my tax refund direct deposited and a paycheck deposited, I spent all but 19 dollars, then my card got locked. Register the card, which by the way made me enter social security as a "security measure against funding terrorism". So I said fuck it, keep the damn money and cancel the card.
